This colourful piece is achieved by using both acrylic and spray paint applied to a contemporary deep box canvas. This painting was painted at the time I was reading 'Memoirs of a Geisha' and reminded me of the delicate kimono patterns described in the book hence the name 'Chiyo Chan'.
